Very boring day..

The ear is still throbbing and the painkillers make me sleepy so didn't get much done around here today. I did work on the other canvas I am making for Christmas. I am hoping to feel much better tomorrow and get it done.
I did order some cute 4X4 clipboards from Oriental Trading. I can't wait to get those and play with them. I am feeling very crafty lately and just hope it continues. I really wanted to work on the tins I got for Gift cards but can't seem to find my corner rounder punches anywhere. I can't imagine what I would have done with them but have looked everywhere for them, so of course had to order a new one today. Hopefully it gets here soon.
Kinsey got her haircut today and it looks so cute. I did get a couple of pics but am just too groggy to get up right now and get the camera to download them and share a pic.
Been playing with my camera lots, and have even been putting it on manual and trying to learn new things. It's a very steep learning curve but I know I can do it.
Well time for me to get off of here and try to get some sleep. Have a good one.

Mission Complete..

Got the ear all fixed today..although as bad as it hurts right now you would never know that it really is fixed. I go back to the doctor next Tuesday so we'll see what happens from here.

Finally finished one of the dozen of Christmas gifts I am making. I loved how it turned out and am hoping I feel better tomorrow to finish the other one I started. It's an altered canvas that I will be adding pictures to and you can just stand it up somewhere. I am also going to order some 4x4 clipboards from Oriental Trading and alter them for some friends and another friend found some silver gift card holders and am going to alter those and use them for of course gift cards. Now to just find the time and really get all of this done.

Took the kids to our annual uptown Christmas walk last night and we had a great time. The weather was perfect, the kids were cooperative and I got lots of pictures. (Although I either need a new a new lens or an external flash cuz the flash on my camera just doesn't cut it).
That's it for today.. The pain killers are starting to kick in and they make me very sleepy.

Well back to school and work tomorrow. This holiday weekend flew by so fast. We get tons done so it wasn't a waste but could use a couple of extra days to finish up everything we needed to get done. I did get the house clean yesterday, paper sorted, and worked on Christmas gifts but that's about it. Ended up going to dinner with some friends and their kids, and then hubby was watching Notre Dame get beat so the kids and I decided to head to the movies and saw Deck The Halls. It was cute.

Today is another Thanksgiving which means not being home and not getting much done. I am anxious for tomorrow so I can call and see what time they will be fixing my ear Tuesday so I can make sure I have everything lined up. Hubby goes back to 2nd shift for just one more week then all of December he will be on 1st shift and I can't wait.

Also the next 2 weekends are going to be very busy. Need to finish Christmas shopping, take the kids to hubby's works Christmas party for the kids, then the next weekend is the adult Christmas party, finishing making all these Christmas gifts, start my baking and wrap gifts. Oh goodness I better get busy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Sunday.

The decorations are up and we are officially ready for Christmas. I know these aren't the best pictures but need to ask Santa Claus for an external flash and new lense for Christmas. Hubby and I got up at 5:00 yesterday morning to hit Wal-Mart and Kmart. We got what we needed and got out there home. Came home and back to bed we went. Then up to put up the decorations.

We all put up all the decorations inside and then hubby and Logan put up the decorations outside. It was so much fun. This is a corner cupboard hubby's mom gave me and I repainted it and thought it would look great with the snowman I collect. Kinsey even added a little village at the bottom. I will have to make sure to take pictures of the rest of our decorations later today.

Today is another busy day at my house. I have to take some pictures of my friend and her family, sort bazzill paper, make puppy chow, clean up the house, and finally work on my scrapbooking Christmas gifts. Tomorrow is another Thanksgiving at my stepmom's family. Is it Monday yet so I can relax. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Being Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for this year. I have a totally wonderful supportive husband who totally rocks my world (well at least most of the time). I have four beautiful children who bring a smile to my face everyday. I have a pretty terrific family. We have all of our parents happy and healthy. I have a wonderful group of friends (especially Brooke and Trish) who I couldn't have made it through the last year without. I have a nice house and I can't forget the dogs(yes they drive me crazy but they are like my kids).

I hope everyone had as wonderful thanksgiving as we did. We had our parents in to eat and then spent the rest of the day watching football and Grey's Atanomy.
OMG speaking of Grey's..this show just gets better and better every week. I am on pins and needles waiting for next week to get here.

Hubby and I got up at 5:00 this morning and hit Wal-Mart and Kmart. We got what we needed and got the heck out of there. We made a pit stop at McDonald's and then home and back to bed we went.

Today we are putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations and putting the house back together from yesterday. I am also hoping to finish up some Christmas presents I have started.

I am decorating some canvas's and putting pictures on them for some people for Christmas. I will share a picture later when I get one done.

Enjoy your day and remember to be thankful for all things in your life.

The last 2 days have been filled with running, running and more running around. Going to the doctor for my ear, taking and picking kids up from school, picking Kinsey up from choir, taking Kinsey to orthodontist, picking Kinsey up from play practice, going for a hearing test, finishing grocery shopping for Thursday. Oh boy I sure there is at least one day this weekend where I don't have to run somewhere.
I did go to the doctor for my ear and it's going to require a minor procedure to fix it, which sucks but I can't wait. It doesn't really hurt right now it's just more annoying than anything. So hopefully within a few weeks it will be all better.
Guess I better get back to cleaning and getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Thought I would share a picture of our oldest dog, Daisy. She wasn't too happy as you can tell.

Having fun..

Logan and I decided to get Santa hats at Wal-Mart Friday night to take some pictures with. We had so much fun setting things up and just playing. This kid is one of a kind. As the youngest of 4 children he really keeps us on our toes. Not the best picture but you know practice makes perfect.

We had a fun yet low key weekend here. Finished painting the bathroom Friday night then headed to Wal-Mart to finish getting stuff for Thanksgiving. Saturday was the big game and yes Michigan lost but that's okay it was a great game and Ohio State deserved to win that game. Good luck to them on winning the National Championship. I might even have to wear something OSU to support them.

Sunday was the last Nascar race of the season. Thank goodness I have football to watch til January. Dale Jr. had a bad day but 5th in the points after the terrible season last year is awesome. Can't wait to see what he does next year.

I don't think I have ever been so excited to go to a doctor as I am today. I am finally going to see an ENT (ear, nose and throat dr.) about my ear. In September hubby and I took a mini vacation to Orlando and I getting over a cold. After we got home my ears were driving me crazy and I thought they hadn't popped on the plane ride home, well come to find out my left ear completely popped and now has a whole in it. I really really hope they will do something about it because it is driving me crazy. So wish me luck at the doctor!!

As I stated in an earlier post I got a big new camera. A Canon Rebel Digital XT. It's a monster of a camera and I love it, but boy it's a big learning curve. I am trying to read, practice and play, but as soon as I take 2 steps forward I stay 2 steps back. I am determined to learn this camera and take wonderful pictures of my family. So I am going to read, practice and play lots and lots more. I will get it right , eventually.

It's the day of the BIG game. OSU vs Michigan. The game of all games and it's gonna be ugly and great. It's a huge game and will be a nail biter.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Chloe..

Now isn't this a face only a mother could love.. it has to be because right now if she wasn't so dang cute I would probably lock her up. We are now going through the chewing stage. Oh goodness hopefully it's just stage and its over soon.
Been learning and playing lots with my new camera. Still lots to learn but it will be all worth it when I have some amazing pictures.
Kids and hubby all doing great. Keeping me busy as usual but that's okay I love all the choas. Working on getting the house spic and span for the holidays. I plan on painting the downstairs bathroom this weekend, and cleaning the carpets. Hope to get to the upstairs bathroom also done before Christmas.
Christmas is alittle over a month away and I am so excited. I already have all my snowmen stuff out, and have even started shopping. Have lots of baking to do but a very good friend gave me a kitchen aid mixer so that will speed up the process.
Time to get back to all the new photography books I have bought lately.
