Today I have a vacation day and it feels so good.. We have been so slammed at work, just crazy busy. So while I am somewhat caught up I decided it would be a perfect day to take off. I plan on listening to my ipod while cleaning and organizing alittle, working on some Valentine Day gifts, taking a nap and then tonight dinner with the husband and friends and then off to a pool tournament. I really want to get a haircut but just can't find one I like so I doubt that happens today.
It will be so nice to get out of the house and hang out with grown ups tonight..if fills like forever since I have been out.
That's all thats new in my little world..hopefully yours is more exciting than mine.

My sweet baby boy is 9 years old today..9 years ago today I was laying in a hospital bed begging this little man to get out of me and at 8:41 he entered the world full speed ahead, didn't even wait for the doctor to get in the room, and he hasn't slowed down since. He is definitely my wild child, he goes 90 mph all the time, but you know what we wouldn't have him anything other way. He is wild, sensitive, all boy, sweet, he is my baby and I love him no matter what.

I always say I am going to get better and blog more often then boom life happens and it's forever before another post..

I thought I would share our cold Saturday night staying in..
The boys playing on their DS's ..here is Brandon (the master DS player) helping Logan with his game.
Kinsey and her friend playing on the computer (these poor girls helped out at their school wrestling tournament all day so they weren't exhausted)
Kylee stayed all night with a friend otherwise we would have been doing DDR. I was watching football, hanging out at my new favorite place SIStv, playing on the laptop and playing a couple games of guitar hero with the guys.. Just a great night with most of us at home..

This had to be the longest short week in history. I only had to work 3 days but wow what a long week it was. Work was dead this week, I hope things pick back up this week. Not much else going on in our little world. I am getting ready to head to my scrap space and organize alittle bit and hopefully that will inspire me to create something. I bought some papers and embellishments months ago and haven't even taken them out of the bag so cross your fingers that putting them away and going through stuff helps me out. I either need to get off my butt and start scrapping again or just sell it all.
I'll update you on how I did later today or tomorrow.

We had a wonderful time last night hanging out with our friends and children. Playing games and just chatting. I thought I would make a list of some things I would like to accomplish this year: 1. get healthy-- I want to start eating better and exercising more this year. 2. take more pictures--since I went back to work I haven't been getting the camera out as much as I use to. I also want to take more pictures of the everyday stuff, and more self portraits. I really really hate having my picture taken so this will definitely be a challenge for me. 3. scrapbook more-again since I went back to work I have hardly touched my scrapbooking stuff so I vow to get it all out this year and start playing again. I am going to quit worrying about what other people think of my pages and just go with the flow on them. I am just going to see where my art and pages take me..kind of a no holds barred approach. 4. Be more organized--I am really getting better about this but I have a couple of other things I would like to do to help out with this. So stay tuned and maybe I can help someone else out in this area. 5. be the best wife and mother I can be--I know this one I should do everyday anyways but sometimes we get caught up with life and we forget about the ones closest to us and without my husband and kids I wouldn't be the person I am. 6. Do something for me--even if it's once a month I need to also take time for me to keep my sanity. It will be nice to look at this post in a year and really see how well I did. Here's hoping to a wonderful 2008.
